What you will do
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of major airside infrastructure projects from concept through construction support and closeout.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, architects, environmental professionals, and specialty consultants.
- Coordinate with airport owners, airlines, program managers, regulatory agencies, FAA representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, risk mitigation strategies, and executive-level project updates.
- Coordinate permitting, procurement, design development, phasing, staging, constructability reviews, and operational readiness.
- Maintain safety, quality, schedule, budget, and airport functionality while construction takes place in active operational environments.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Civil Engineering, Airport Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Planning, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience managing aviation infrastructure projects, including significant airside development experience.
- Experience delivering projects at major commercial airports in the United States or internationally.
- Strong knowledge of FAA airport design standards, Advisory Circulars, airfield geometry, and airport operational requirements.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary design and engineering teams, project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and active-airport coordination skills.
Nice to have
- Experience delivering projects for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
- Experience with FAA Airport Improvement Program-funded projects and familiarity with ICAO standards.
- Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or P3 delivery methods.
- Project Management Professional certification.
