AP Accountant (Finance)

Location: Hybrid setup in Budapest, Hungary

What you will do

• Review, obtain approval for, code, and submit Hungarian vendor invoices to the third-party accounting firm for payment.
• Process global vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, and vendor communications across local and international operations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, external audits, and audit documentation.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Improve accounting processes and contribute to system implementations, special projects, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of accounts payable or accounting experience, preferably in a medium to large corporate environment.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Good to excellent command of English and Hungarian.
