What you will do
- Own the data-provider pipeline by mapping the vendor landscape and sourcing new partners.
- Evaluate vendors through trials, benchmarks, scorecards, and verification of coverage, freshness, and quality claims.
- Lead commercial negotiations, renewals, and relationship management, including business reviews and cost optimization.
- Partner with product and data teams to prioritize integrations, fixes, and coverage improvements.
- Build portfolio health reporting and identify market coverage gaps.
- Recommend adding, renegotiating, or replacing providers based on evidence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic vendor management for a technology or data-driven product.
- Proven experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing data-licensing, API, or content-supply deals.
- Experience negotiating commercial terms, SLAs, and renewals with measurable cost or quality outcomes.
- Ability to run structured vendor evaluations and make evidence-based decisions.
- Technical due diligence experience with APIs, data feeds, and coverage, freshness, and quality metrics.
- Strong cold-outreach, relationship-building, communication, and independent working skills in a remote environment.
