Strategic Business Planning Manager (Project Management)

Location: Hybrid in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; moderate travel of 10–25% is required for strategic planning sessions.

Salary: $104,000–$125,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Define strategic planning processes, priorities, capabilities, plans, and success measures.
• Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms.
• Manage inputs and outputs that drive strategic project prioritization.
• Identify organizational integrations and coordinate a holistic planning process with planning contacts and the PMO.
• Build relationships with supported groups and project teams and serve as an escalation point for conflicts involving priorities, goals, strategies, resources, and initiatives.
• Create and deliver strategic presentations and storyboards for different audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of strategic planning experience in a similar environment, planning role, or consulting role.
• Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and guide strategic planning and execution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and root cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools and project lifecycles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Insurance or financial services experience.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
