Category Growth Analyst (Target)

Location: Minneapolis, MN; office environment with limited travel and up to 5% travel

Salary: $77,800–$97,300 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Develop insight-led category strategies that improve category growth and the Guest experience for Target.
• Translate consumer and shopper data into recommendations for assortment, shelving, innovation, and the path to purchase.
• Support line reviews, joint business planning sessions, and other strategic customer engagements with category-focused presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Omni, BU Strategy, and Shopper Insights teams to align and activate category priorities.
• Apply omnichannel strategies across digital and in-store touchpoints.
• Monitor marketplace and shopper trends, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to team capability building.

Requirements

• Experience in category management and/or working with Target.
• Ability to turn consumer, shopper, syndicated, and panel data into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong knowledge of assortment and shelving fundamentals.
• Experience collaborating across functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Circana, Numerator, VIQ, DOMO, or comparable data and retailer platforms.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, execution, and collaboration skills.
