Senior Ecologist (Botany)

Location: Brisbane or Sydney, Australia; work is based out of the Brisbane or Sydney offices and includes field surveys.

What you will do

• Manage ecological consulting projects within budget and deliver them on schedule.
• Represent clients and facilitate external meetings.
• Conduct flora and fauna surveys on complex resources and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare clear, well-written ecological reports.
• Identify when team members need support and provide tools for successful delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant ecological consulting experience in planning and delivering ecological studies for the resources and infrastructure sectors of Queensland and/or New South Wales.
• Tertiary qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a similar discipline.
• Strong knowledge and experience conducting flora and fauna surveys.
• Experience with GIS desktop software such as ESRI, ArcGIS, or QGIS.
• Experience with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 data collection packages.
