TL;DR
Lead QC Engineer (Software Testing): Leading quality assurance initiatives across complex software projects delivered to clients with an accent on test strategy, coverage, automation, and release readiness. Focus on defining testing approaches, managing defects, driving automation adoption, and supporting quality sign-off across Product, Engineering, and Release teams.
Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; remote/office work. Available to travel for up to two weeks per month.

What you will do
- Lead test planning, execution, and quality assurance activities across software projects.
- Define and maintain test strategies, scope, and coverage based on business and technical requirements.
- Oversee functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Manage defect resolution processes and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Release teams.
- Drive test automation adoption and continuous quality improvement.
- Support release readiness and quality sign-off activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA or software testing, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
- Experience leading testing efforts for complex software products.
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
