Equipment Maintenance Technician (PCB Manufacturing)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $57,167–$95,279 per year, with potential annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, scheduled repairs, emergency repairs, and equipment installations across the manufacturing facility.
• Dismantle and inspect equipment to identify failures and complete or schedule repairs.
• Document completed work, preventive maintenance, electronic work orders, and incomplete tasks accurately.
• Communicate task status with technicians taking over work and the Maintenance Manager.
• Train other technicians in preventive maintenance skills.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures when handling, mixing, and disposing of chemicals and hazardous waste.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general maintenance practices, mechanical aptitude, and safe use of manual and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, equipment manuals, installation specifications, schematics, diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical as-builts.
• General computer skills, including electronic work orders, data entry, and email communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as required for the role.
• Ability to work 8–10-hour days while standing for most of the shift, lift and carry 75 pounds, and maintain regular attendance.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to drive company vehicles, and US citizenship required due to ITAR requirements; overtime, weekend, and on-call availability is required.

• Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical as-built documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting electromagnetic equipment.
• Experience recommending and implementing process-efficiency improvements.
