What you will do

  • Act as the North American regulatory subject matter expert for Food Biosciences products, including food enzymes and cultures.
  • Develop and execute regulatory strategies supporting commercialization, innovation, and business growth in the United States and Canada.
  • Prepare and manage regulatory submissions and notifications, including GRAS submissions and Health Canada filings.
  • Partner with Research & Development, Applications, Quality, and Commercial teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development and launches.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on product compliance, regulatory status, market requirements, and regulatory risks.
  • Maintain compliance of marketed products and contribute to regulatory process improvements, documentation, advocacy, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Significant regulatory affairs experience in food ingredients, biotechnology, dairy, enzymes, cultures, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of United States and/or Canadian regulatory frameworks for food ingredients and Food Biosciences products.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and managing regulatory submissions, notifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to business and product-specific situations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, organizational, and documentation skills, including experience in a global matrixed organization.

Nice to have

  • Experience with enzyme, culture, fermentation, biotechnology, or dairy product portfolios.
  • Established relationships with North American regulatory authorities, industry associations, or scientific networks.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop creative, solution-oriented approaches to regulatory challenges.
