Senior Accounting Analyst

Location: Kunshan, China; hybrid work with a home office opportunity two days per week after probation.

What you will do

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities under US GAAP and hirify.global financial policies.
• Prepare US GAAP financial reports and statutory reports, including reconciliations with local GAAP.
• Coordinate annual external audits and provide support for internal audits, tax audits, and government inspections.
• Manage corporate income tax, VAT, indirect tax filings, and related statutory payments.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and business ethics standards.
• Partner with Shared Service Centers on end-to-end Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes and local accounting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, taxation, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with accounting processes, financial controls, accounting systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and networking skills.
• Fluency in Japanese and English is required.

Nice to have

• ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CPA, or an equivalent professional accounting certification.
• Experience in a multinational company, shared services environment, or public accounting and audit firm.
• Experience with external audits, SOX compliance, and cross-border accounting operations.
