TL;DR
Regulatory Laboratory Technician (Chemistry): Supporting environmental and regulatory laboratory testing, including developing new methods, troubleshooting existing methods, and performing complex measurements with an accent on laboratory equipment and analytical methods. Focus on setting up testing procedures, solving measurement challenges, and working safely with required personal protective equipment.
Location: US - WV - Parkersburg; Washington Works, WV
Salary: $25.10–$39.22 per hour; annual bonus target of 4%.

What you will do
- Support analytical work in the Washington Works Environmental and Regulatory Laboratory.
- Develop new testing methods and troubleshoot existing methods.
- Perform complex measurements supporting business needs.
- Follow direction from the Analytical team and learn additional laboratory methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and experience executing tests with that equipment.
- Documented experience setting up and developing new testing methods.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, and respirators.
Nice to have
- Chromatography experience.
- Liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry experience.
- Knowledge of fluoropolymers.
- Problem-solving certification.
