Associate Director of Marketing (IP)

Location: Boston, United States

Annual salary: $225,000–$275,000, depending on geographic location, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Translate intellectual property practice marketing plans into detailed campaign briefs and customer journeys.
• Advise on buyer profiles, personas, influencers, audience segments, and personalization triggers.
• Lead practice-building initiatives, market-facing materials, sales touchpoints, and enterprise marketing alignment.
• Develop strategy and narratives for complex, high-stakes pitches and proposals with the Client Development and Pursuits & Proposals teams.
• Oversee the business-unit marketing budget and evaluate sponsorship and practice-level spending ROI.
• Interpret dashboard and optimization data to recommend strategic changes to marketing plans.

Requirements

• 8+ years of applicable marketing or business development experience, including 4+ years of management experience.
• Professional services and/or B2B marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications after hirify.global orientation.
• Ability to work extended or weekend hours and travel when required.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, consultative, and people-leadership skills.

• Prior legal industry experience.
