Financial Advisor

What you will do

• Advise members on mutual funds, securities transactions, alternative investment products, and financial planning.
• Evaluate members’ financial goals and risk tolerance and recommend appropriate investment alternatives.
• Provide consultative guidance on credit union products and services by assessing member needs and addressing concerns.
• Initiate investment selections, record transactions with the broker/dealer, and maintain regular contact with the OSJ.
• Complete required compliance documentation and provide annual financial review sessions for members.
• Schedule and conduct member meetings by phone and in person while maintaining knowledge of investment program products and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
• 7–10 years of relevant prior experience required.
• Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, or Series 63 and Series 65 in lieu of Series 66.
• California Insurance License required.
• Participation in the California DMV pull program may be required depending on the assignment.
