Progressive Care, Registered Nurse, RN

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Progressive Care Unit – Main Campus, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Pay range: $37.50–$68.47 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide direct nursing care to patients and families in accordance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Conduct and document accurate clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Apply professional nursing judgment, delegate assignments, and coordinate care based on patient needs and team capabilities.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions and advance directives, and prepare comprehensive discharge plans.
• Use evidence-based practice and research while participating in performance improvement initiatives and departmental committees.
• Support new staff development and guide professional growth through precepting.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 12 months to less than 3 years of RN experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Department-specific certifications relevant to patient care may be required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing and walking, maneuver patients, and occasionally lift 30–35 pounds.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
