Sr Business Analyst (Energy)

Location: Hybrid role based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year, plus an eligible 15% annual bonus

What you will do

• Develop short- and long-term business plans, financial models, forecasts, trend analyses, variance analyses, and business cases.
• Monitor operational performance across safety, reliability, service levels, productivity, costs, resources, and capacity utilization.
• Track and analyze business scorecards and KPIs, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide analytical and operational support, evaluate projects, and recommend improvements using economic, financial, risk, and decision analysis.
• Support contract services strategy, performance measurement, contractor relationships, bidding activities, contract awards, and execution.
• Work with executives, managers, staff, job owners, supply teams, and contractors; provide coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering and 4–7 years of related business experience, or 6–9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business planning, performance analysis, benchmarking, audit compliance, financial analysis, forecasting, and operational metrics.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and specialized business applications such as SAP planning and workforce or outage management systems.
• Strong analytical, statistical problem-solving, communication, reporting, business case development, and project management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex organizational and project data, recommend alternative courses of action, and implement performance improvement strategies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Philadelphia and extended hours or shifts during operational emergencies may be required.

Nice to have

• MBA or another relevant advanced degree.
• Experience supporting contract management, category strategy, contractor relationships, or alliance relationships.
