Senior System Engineer – Observability (C#)

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid work model with 3 days in-office in Poblenou and 2 days remote.

Salary: EUR 64,000 gross annual salary for a permanent contract; freelance option available at around EUR 400 per day.

What you will do

• Define and design next-generation Datalink monitoring, observability, provisioning, and configuration management platforms.
• Modernize legacy monitoring and configuration management assets while maintaining operational continuity.
• Design telemetry, alerting, visualization, and operational capabilities for resilient, scalable, production-ready platforms.
• Apply observability and secure-by-design practices and participate in technical reviews.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers, and operations teams.
• Use AI-powered tools to improve requirements management, static analysis, documentation, productivity, and delivery quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Senior System Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or in an equivalent technical role.
• Strong experience with observability and monitoring ecosystems, including Grafana Alloy, Loki, Mimir or Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry Protocol.
• Strong C# and .NET background, with experience in platform or network system integration, APIs, microservices, configuration management, and scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency with AI-powered tools for requirements management, static analysis, and documentation generation.
• Fluent or very high-level English, C1+, required for international technical discussions.
