Fluent OMS - Lead Developer - C4 -DCO (Fluent Commerce)

What you will do

• Design and implement order orchestration workflows on the Fluent Commerce platform, including states, rulesets, triggers, and user actions.
• Develop custom Java rules with the Fluent SDK for validation, sourcing, allocation, fulfilment, and notifications.
• Build and consume GraphQL APIs for orders, fulfilments, inventory, availability, returns, and locations.
• Extend OMX user interfaces and integrate Fluent Commerce with ecommerce, ERP, WMS, POS, payment, carrier, and 3PL systems.
• Configure inventory and sourcing logic, including Available-to-Promise, fulfilment networks, and sourcing strategies.
• Test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot workflow solutions while contributing to technical design, code reviews, documentation, estimation, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong core Java skills.
• Hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce or another order management/orchestration platform, including workflows, rules, and SDK-based development.
• Solid GraphQL experience and familiarity with REST, JSON, and API design.
• Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous architectures, webhooks, message handling, and distributed-service integration.
• Experience integrating enterprise commerce, ERP, WMS, POS, carrier, and middleware systems; familiarity with AWS, Git, and CI/CD.
• Clear written and verbal English communication and the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Fluent Commerce certification or a clear plan to obtain it.
• JavaScript, TypeScript, or React experience for OMX UX Framework development.
• Experience with composable or MACH commerce, headless platforms, and retail order management.
• Experience with click and collect, ship-from-store, split fulfilment, returns, exchanges, or other omnichannel processes.
• Exposure to AWS Lambda, containers, and infrastructure as code.
