Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location: New York, NY or Richmond, VA. A hybrid schedule with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday is required for candidates residing within 50 miles of a hirify.global | CareScout office. Core business hours target 9am–5pm EST.

Salary: $96,700–$145,000 national range; $120,900–$187,000 NYC range. Additional bonus incentive eligibility is available.

What you will do

• Design and build end-to-end customer platform experiences across web and mobile for B2B and B2C use cases.
• Develop scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable software using modern frontend, backend, and mobile technologies.
• Drive technical design through problem definition, design documentation, design reviews, implementation, and code reviews.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with automation, security scanning, and safe release practices.
• Support hosting, deployment, and runtime operations through monitoring, alerting, incident response, capacity planning, and performance improvements.
• Partner with product, design, security, infrastructure, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable customer solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including significant senior, staff, or principal-level experience.
• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, React Native, Flutter, Swift, and Kotlin.
• Strong experience with GraphQL and REST APIs, database design and performance, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, event-driven and asynchronous systems, messaging, and queue-based architectures.
• Experience delivering and operating mobile applications for iOS and Android, including release and app store lifecycle management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Advanced degree in a technical field.
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time systems, including video or communication platforms.
• Experience integrating SSO providers, payment systems, and eCommerce services.
