Frontend Engineer (Vue/Nuxt): Driving frontend development for Rakuten Car services with an accent on Vue/Nuxt, frontend architecture, and cross-functional delivery. Focus on building frontend-led production deployment, improving development and release workflows, and supporting code quality, technical decisions, and team growth.

What you will do
- Drive frontend development initiatives for Rakuten Car using Vue and Nuxt.
- Work with the Tech Lead to improve the development structure and optimize role allocation.
- Support the transition to a frontend-led model with independent production deployment.
- Coordinate requirements with Design, Product Management, and Backend teams.
- Define and improve development workflows, release operations, and quality processes.
- Support code and design reviews, technical decisions, issue organization, and member development.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of hands-on frontend development experience.
- Experience developing web services with Vue and Nuxt.
- Professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with REST API integration, frontend code review, architecture design, and quality improvement.
- Experience improving development workflows and release operations.
- English speaking: intermediate; Japanese speaking: advanced.
Nice to have
- Experience building frontend deployment infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience collaborating with Java backend teams.
- Experience leading a transition to a frontend-led development model.
- Engineering management, hiring, mentoring, goal-setting, or performance evaluation experience.
