Principal Mobile Software Engineer (P5)

What you will do

• Architect, build, modernize, and own enterprise-grade mobile platforms across iOS, Android, and shared mobile libraries.
• Lead complete mobile initiatives from discovery and solution design through delivery, app-store releases, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Develop intelligent mobile experiences using LLMs, AI services, on-device intelligence, contextual assistance, automation, and personalization.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, identity providers, analytics, telemetry, and mobile backend systems.
• Improve performance, memory usage, battery life, offline behavior, accessibility, security, observability, and release reliability.
• Set architecture standards, mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and guide technical decisions across teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with significant hands-on mobile engineering experience.
• Expertise building and shipping applications for both iOS and Android, including Swift, Kotlin, Jetpack, coroutines, testing, and app-store release practices.
• Strong experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, or .NET MAUI.
• Deep knowledge of mobile architecture, security, authentication, privacy, encryption, testing, observability, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools and implementing AI-enabled product features with validation, structured outputs, monitoring, and responsible-AI guardrails.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience, with a record of technical leadership, independent project ownership, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with shared mobile platform libraries, SDKs, design systems, offline-first applications, synchronization, and conflict resolution.
• Background in mobile observability, crash analytics, synthetic monitoring, SLO-driven reliability, regulated applications, or real-time data workflows.
• Experience integrating on-device or cloud AI, personalization, automation, or contextual assistants into mobile products.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum environments.
