Senior Product Development and Support Engineer (Fall Protection)

Location: On-site in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States, at least four days per week. Travel may include up to 10% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Salary: $124,127–$151,710 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for new product development programs and contribute to product and technology roadmaps.
• Maintain global design control and provide product engineering support for an assigned portfolio of fall-protection harnesses and lanyards.
• Lead product design change management covering quality improvements, supplier changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction.
• Drive continuous improvement using project management, Six Sigma, PPU, DOE, and statistical analysis.
• Establish or verify product and component specifications through test-data analysis, regulatory review, and customer feedback.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and product-use guidance while preparing documentation for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before starting.
• At least three years of product development, product design, or product engineering experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project management skills.

Nice to have

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a related science or engineering field.
• Experience with CAD software or modeling.
• Understanding of global fall-protection and industry standards.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
