Data Science Manager, Core Business - USDS

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $201,000–$395,280 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead a team of Data Scientists or Data Analysts in executing company-level objectives.
• Conduct product analytics that supports user growth and business initiatives in the U.S. market.
• Analyze metric movements and identify their root causes.
• Design and build advanced analytical solutions and models to deliver business outcomes.
• Use data to support user safety principles and a healthy app ecosystem.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time experience in an analytical role at a top-tier social media or entertainment company.
• At least 2 years of experience as a people manager.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or another science or engineering field.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R and working with large datasets using SQL.
• Ability to conduct rigorous analysis and communicate conclusions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong self-management, organization, attention to detail, and ability to learn autonomously.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of machine learning, causal inference, and AI.
• Experience with livestream products.
• Experience working with international partners across different time zones.
• Interest in social technology products.
