Head of Compliance (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and continuously improve the Compliance Framework in line with Bank of Greece requirements, EBA Guidelines, PSD2, and applicable laws.
• Develop and execute the Annual Compliance Plan, Compliance Monitoring Programme, and Annual Compliance Report.
• Act as MLRO, overseeing AML/CFT controls, KYC, due diligence, monitoring methodologies, and regulatory submissions to the Hellenic FIU and Bank of Greece.
• Oversee third-party risk management, outsourcing governance, regulatory reporting, and the Internal Control System.
• Advise business units, product owners, and senior management on products, services, partnerships, and distribution models.
• Act as DPO, overseeing GDPR compliance, DPIAs, privacy policies, and communication with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Requirements

• Law degree is mandatory.
• 12+ years of compliance experience in a regulated entity, including at least 3 years in AML/CFT and regulatory compliance leadership.
• Experience designing Compliance Monitoring Plans, AML programmes, and governance frameworks under EBA and PSD2 requirements.
• Experience with Bank of Greece supervisory expectations and interaction with competent authorities.
• Strong knowledge of PSD2, AMLD5/6, EBA Guidelines, outsourcing, ICT and operational resilience requirements, and relevant Bank of Greece acts.
• Excellent written and verbal Greek and English required. Strong analytical skills, integrity, professional skepticism, and independence are also expected.
