TL;DR
Transportation Specialist (Logistics and Supply Chain): Managing daily transportation operations, vendors, carriers, and freight forwarders in Taipei with an accent on delivery performance, compliance, freight spend, and process optimization. Focus on analyzing shipping data, improving routes and service levels, coordinating supplier shipments, and leading transportation network and systems improvement projects.
Location: Taipei City, Taiwan; includes 10% domestic travel to visit local suppliers.

What you will do
- Onboard vendors to the new Control Tower 4PL partner and coordinate daily transportation activities.
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and logistics service providers.
- Monitor shipment status, delivery performance, SLAs, and service issues, resolving delays and disruptions.
- Evaluate vendor performance through KPIs, business reviews, corrective actions, and performance reporting.
- Ensure accurate shipping documentation, transportation regulatory compliance, trade compliance, and audit-ready records.
- Analyze freight spend and shipping data to identify cost savings, optimize routes, and support network, system, and process improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience managing carriers, freight forwarders, or 3PL providers.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to converse in Chinese, Japanese, and English.
Nice to have
- Experience with international shipping, air, ocean, and LCL modes, customs processes, and trade compliance.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with KPI development and performance reporting.
- Ability to converse in Korean.
