IAM Security Architect

Location: Hybrid, in-office three days per week, within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 per year; full salary range $140,000–$228,000 per year; 15% bonus target

What you will do

• Lead the evolution of enterprise identity and access management solutions.
• Design and apply reference architectures, security patterns, and implementations, documenting solutions and leading architecture quality reviews.
• Shape technical and product strategies by interpreting industry trends and aligning current initiatives with future direction.
• Provide organization-wide technical security leadership and guide security architecture solutions and services.
• Translate business feedback and project requirements into technical direction and solution designs.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders, lead architecture practices, and drive process improvement and thought leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in identity and access management, with expertise beyond a single vendor or platform.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years in IT, including two years in information security and two years in technical leadership and architecture.
• At least five years evaluating business requirements and designing complete systems solutions in complex environments.
• Deep knowledge of SAML, WebAuthn, OIDC, enterprise identity platforms, privileged access management, adaptive MFA, and passwordless authentication.
• Ability to work hybrid in the office three days per week within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.

Nice to have

• Experience in the health insurance industry, including payer-oriented processes and systems.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, HITRUST, and ISO 27001.
• Experience with AI tools and technologies for productivity and decision-making.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
