Maintenance Engineer (Broadcast Engineering)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; facility-based role with possible overnight travel and weekend field repairs

What you will do

• Manage and maintain broadcast and technology equipment throughout the facility.
• Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain broadcast equipment and IT systems.
• Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure.
• Participate in engineering and other technical projects.
• Support compliance with FCC and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain and repair transmitter and microwave equipment, including during extended hours, weekends, and overnight travel.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of broadcast engineering experience.
• Required ability to terminate broadcast and IT-related cables.
• Working knowledge of desktop support and IT management and administration.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work extended hours as needed.
• Ability to coach and mentor others and learn new engineering and IT skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with broadcast automation systems, routers, video storage devices, SAN storage, satellite ground stations, and RF equipment.
