Engineer (Broadcast/IT)

Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Install, test, update, repair, and maintain hardware and systems supporting broadcasting and business operations.
• Identify and resolve equipment failures and service interruptions to minimize downtime.
• Install, maintain, and document IT networks, including workstations, servers, switches, wireless systems, and printers.
• Evaluate and repair broadcast equipment, including audio, video, AC power, transmission, and routing systems.
• Support users and vendors while managing multiple issues and projects, including extended hours and varied shifts when needed.
• Safely lift up to 35 lbs. and climb ladders as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or Broadcasting, or equivalent education and work-related experience.
• At least two years of experience with digital electronics in a television broadcasting environment.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing broadcast and IT equipment.
• Experience with network administration, configuration, and data security using Cisco, HP, or Juniper hardware.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and operating systems, Adobe production tools, Mac and iOS products, fiber-optic systems, audio/video routing, and editing systems.
• Fluent English, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, self-direction, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ross production equipment and automation.
