Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States
Annual base salary: $126,500β$208,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do
- Build, operationalize, and support complex data and machine learning solutions.
- Develop repeatable Databricks jobs and workflows, including MLflow tracking for model runs.
- Instrument pipelines with observability events and build APIs and scripts for model inventory and governance.
- Apply data transformations, cleansing, quality, security, and governance practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on traditional ML and GenAI workloads.
- Test data movement, transformation code, and data components while resolving complex defects and incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least four additional years of data engineering experience; the broader profile requests eight years of related experience.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting ML pipelines in modern MLOps environments.
- Strong software engineering and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, Databricks, cloud platforms, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry, with strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with EKS or other Kubernetes-based platforms for scalable data and ML workloads.
- Experience with GenAI tools such as Claude and classic ML techniques including GBMs and linear models.
