Scientific Data Analyst (AI/ML)

Location: Marcy-l'Étoile, France; hybrid work with remote work permitted up to 2 days per week.

Salary: €38,560–€51,413 per year, plus collective variable compensation based on hirify.global Group results.

What you will do

• Conduct exploratory and confirmatory analyses of clinical trial datasets, including SDTM and ADaM data, and deliver reproducible tables, listings, and figures.
• Translate statistical analysis plans into robust, documented code in collaboration with biostatisticians and cross-functional study teams.
• Support the transition from SAS-based workflows to R and Python using version control, code review, modular programming, and reproducible research practices.
• Implement AI and machine learning tools, including LLMs, code generation, and automated quality control, to improve statistical programming workflows.
• Build reusable packages, analytical pipelines, and automation frameworks for scalable clinical data analysis.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML tools, open-source technologies, and developments in the Pharmaverse and Posit/RStudio ecosystems.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for data manipulation, visualization, reproducible workflows, and data analysis.
• Experience with real-world data analysis through academic research, internships, healthcare or life sciences projects, Kaggle competitions, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science/Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or quantitatively focused Engineering.
• AI/ML interest, an automation mindset, curiosity, and ability to learn independently.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills for collaboration in a multicultural environment, with the ability to lead and embrace change.
• Fluent English required.
