TL;DR
Director, Operations Finance (Medical Devices): Leading financial performance, inventory discipline, forecasting, and capital planning across a multi-site medical device manufacturing network with an accent on P&L ownership, plant controlling, and operational profitability. Focus on analyzing cost and variance drivers, managing capital investment decisions, and building data-driven financial reporting across manufacturing sites.

Location: Austin, United States; requires travel as needed, including 1–2 weeks per month at the Costa Rica facility.

hirify.global develops and manufactures medical devices and components, including Nitinol components, stents, catheters, biomedical textiles, and precision polymer tubing.

What you will do

  • Partner with the COO and Operations and Supply Chain leadership on business unit, production line, and value stream P&L performance.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, margin and mix analysis, variance reviews, and profitability reporting.
  • Drive inventory management, reserves, cycle counting, operating reviews, and the SIOP process across manufacturing plants.
  • Lead capital planning, investment prioritization, ROI analysis, make-versus-buy evaluations, and the Capital Asset Requisition process.
  • Oversee plant finance leaders and establish consistent, EBITDA-focused reporting, controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and coach finance talent across the manufacturing network while supporting operational improvement and corrective action planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, controllership, FP&A, or business analysis focused on manufacturing operations.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience and demonstrated ownership of P&L results, inventory, and capital planning in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in costing, financial modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and ROI analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Epicor and Adaptive Planning is beneficial.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Employment visa sponsorship is unavailable, and candidates on time-limited visa status are not considered.

Nice to have

  • Medical device and/or manufacturing industry experience.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish.
  • MBA or CPA qualification and experience with Oracle, SAP, D365, TM1, Hyperion, or other upper-tier ERP/EPM tools.
