Base pay: €119,200–€205,620 annually, plus an annual bonus or sales commissions.

What you will do
- Lead country medical affairs strategy and serve as a strategic partner to the DePuy Synthes country business board.
- Build relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, strategic accounts, hospital groups, regulatory agencies, medical societies, customers, and key opinion leaders.
- Assess competitive activity and establish strategic partnerships supporting core business areas.
- Ensure product and service evidence supports regulatory approval, health technology assessment, reimbursement, market access, adoption, medical safety, and post-marketing activities.
- Review and approve medical, scientific, promotional, market access, and informational materials for country and regional use.
- Shape innovation and evidence-generation agendas through customer insights, healthcare trend analysis, case support, scientific meetings, and evidence dissemination.
Requirements
- MD or PhD required.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in postgraduate medical education, fellowship or subspecialty surgical training, clinical practice, research, or Medical/Clinical/R&D roles in a regulated pharmaceutical or medical device business.
- Expertise and business acumen in a surgical field or the medical device industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-influencing, and strategic execution skills.
- High emotional intelligence and strong leadership capabilities, especially in leading and delivering.
- Alignment with the Johnson & Johnson Credo.
Nice to have
- Additional advanced degree such as an MBA or PhD.
- Experience as a practicing surgeon or in a related medical device role.
- Background in orthopaedics, trauma, or general surgery.
- Experience leading regional or country Medical Affairs roles across clinical specialties or therapeutic areas.
- Experience overseeing medical education programs and generating, interpreting, and publishing clinical evidence.
