TL;DR
Senior Cost Accountant (Manufacturing): Managing monthly cost closing, forecasting, standard cost updates, and cost analysis for a manufacturing operation with an accent on account accuracy, inventory reporting, and product cost control. Focus on analyzing cost changes, maintaining ERP-based standard costs, and supporting annual planning and operational reporting.
Location: Taicang, Jiangsu, China; on-site five days per week

What you will do
- Manage smooth month-end cost closing and ensure the accuracy of related cost accounts.
- Prepare cost forecasts and support the cost portion of the AOP.
- Produce monthly reports covering ITO by OU, inventory aging, inflation analysis, and rework order tracking.
- Maintain and review new-product standard costs and complete annual standard cost updates.
- Check direct-material price change projects in the system and provide supporting cost-change analyses.
- Handle other cost-accounting responsibilities assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in costing or cost accounting.
- Strong cost-analysis skills and excellent Excel proficiency.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with BI tools or interactive reporting.
- ETO plant experience.
- ERP experience with Oracle or SAP.
