Continuous Improvement Engineer (Process Owner)

Location: Mason City, Iowa, United States; onsite at the Mason City Plant

Salary: $77,800–$97,300 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations and deliver safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, and employee engagement results.
• Own and implement continuous improvement, plant optimization, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
• Lead the implementation of QRMP standards and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation, housekeeping, and workplace safety procedures.
• Coach and develop direct reports, including the CI Lead and Maintenance Lead, through empowerment, on-the-job assignments, and problem-solving projects.
• Participate in annual planning, maintenance planning, PDCA meetings, DDS meetings, production meetings, and level 2 meetings.
• Coordinate cleaning programs, employee coverage, production problem solving, documentation, inventories, payroll records, and process checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Leadership ability, a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and with associates across all shifts.
• Ability to follow safety and quality guidelines and maintain accurate records, reports, documentation, and inventories.
• Ability to learn intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Matrics, and ZPI skills.
• Ability to understand and write WIs, SOPs, and OPLs, and to work overtime or adjust shifts as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
