Superintendent (Heavy Civil Construction)

Location: Lorton, Virginia, with projects in the DC/MD/VA area; applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States.

Salary: $85,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Schedule, supervise, and monitor construction work to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Lead field operations, crews, equipment use, safety, production, and workforce development.
• Develop work sequences, monitor daily productivity, and maintain job-site logs.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and construction management on budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries, including long-lead and critical-path items.
• Manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and timely completion of punch-list work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a large-scale heavy civil contractor or equivalent industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Strong field leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, safe operating practices, maintenance, and local, state, and federal construction regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening and be authorized to work full time in the United States.
