Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; territory covers Richmond, Fredericksburg, Norfolk, and Roanoke. Hybrid field role with three days per week in the territory for customer appointments, one to two home-office days per week, and travel of up to 60–80% by automobile or plane.
Salary: $145,470.70–$196,813.30 per year.

What you will do
- Manage defined healthcare accounts and execute territory strategies for patient access and reimbursement.
- Provide one-on-one coverage support as an extension of the HUB.
- Support the reimbursement journey from physician order through benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, denials, and claims resolution.
- Review patient-specific information and resolve coverage challenges while handling protected health information.
- Educate healthcare providers on payer coverage, benefit design, formulary criteria, utilization management, and reimbursement procedures.
- Coordinate reimbursement issues with the HUB and other internal partners, serving as a payer expert for the assigned geography.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree; or a master’s degree plus 3 years of customer service and/or leadership experience; or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years; or an associate’s degree plus 10 years; or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years.
- Experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel up to 60–80%.
- Advanced knowledge of medical insurance terminology and strong medical reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, or buy-and-bill experience.
- Knowledge of CMS policies and Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid processes.
- Strong communication, presentation, organization, problem-solving, computer literacy, and project management skills.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
- Six years of experience with specialty or biologic self-injectable or physician-administered products.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience with insurance verification, claim adjudication, physician offices or clinics, pharmacies, or pharmaceutical manufacturers.
