Route Supervisor (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage, train, and develop Route Service Managers and other drivers.
• Set performance goals with the Market General Manager and track results through daily and weekly reports.
• Train drivers on operational policies, procedures, account paperwork, and ways to generate sales at customer stops.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, driver program, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance with the site Manager and support loading, unloading, counting, route coverage, and hot-shot deliveries as needed.
• Ride along with drivers, assess training needs, provide feedback, recognize successes, and maintain dealer relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of sales, customer service, and delivery experience.
• Current, valid state driver’s license, clean driving record, and compliance with driver qualification requirements.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, distribution methods, and state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, time management, training, and coaching skills; ability to work under pressure.
