TL;DR
Machine Learning Engineer (AI) (LLMs/RAG): Building and deploying intelligent experiences and production-grade ML services for enterprise financial and accounting workflows with an accent on information retrieval, natural language understanding, and scalable model infrastructure. Focus on developing reasoning agents, evaluating and observing ML features, and integrating agentic self-improvement into customer-facing products.
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Hybrid Flex Work requires spending at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners.
Annual base salary: CAD 128,000–192,000, with potential bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do
- Explore, design, implement, and deploy machine learning features for enterprise financial and accounting workflows.
- Build intelligent user experiences using generative AI, LLMs, natural language understanding, and information retrieval.
- Develop ML models, APIs, and production-grade services across ’s ML infrastructure.
- Evaluate feature quality, scalability, observability, and production performance.
- Develop reasoning agents and agentic self-improvement capabilities for complex financial workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and serve as a role model for more junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling applied machine learning products through research, design, implementation, production, and evaluation.
- 5+ years of professional Python experience with numeric libraries, production code, and production models.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data or computer science, physics, mathematics, or an equivalent field; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience building information retrieval systems and scalable ML services on platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with ML and deep learning frameworks including scikit-learn, Pandas, PySpark, PyTorch, and TensorFlow; 3+ years with LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.
