Associate Director, Advanced Analytics (AI/ML)

Location: Chicago, IL — Chicago/Aon Center

Base salary: $164,200–$205,200 per year, plus performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute the advanced analytics roadmap aligned with the AI and digital transformation strategy.
• Lead and develop a team of analysts and data scientists while promoting agile delivery and continuous improvement.
• Build and deploy analytics solutions for marketing effectiveness, including marketing mix modeling, consumer segmentation, campaign attribution, and brand forecasting.
• Develop predictive models for R&D innovation, ingredient performance, formulation assistance, literature mining, and new product demand forecasting.
• Improve manufacturing performance through OEE optimization, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, quality analytics, and process automation.
• Partner with product owners, scrum masters, marketing, R&D, manufacturing, and learning teams to drive analytics adoption and responsible AI literacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field, including 3+ years of people management.
• Experience deploying ML/AI solutions in at least two of marketing analytics, R&D/innovation analytics, and manufacturing or supply chain analytics.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, Power BI or an equivalent BI platform, statistical modeling, generative AI application development, prompt engineering, and cloud data platforms.
• Experience leading teams, developing talent, managing executive stakeholders, influencing cross-functionally, and driving technology change adoption.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, product thinking, user stories, data governance, responsible AI, marketing analytics, R&D innovation, manufacturing KPIs, and supply chain forecasting.

Nice to have

• Cloud platform certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ML framework credentials, PMP certification, or SAFe Agile certification.
