Senior Associate/Associate Director, Energy & Sustainability

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day client projects and mandates as a key client contact.
• Develop media and influencer outreach across trade, national, international, podcast, and Substack outlets.
• Create owned content strategies and communications campaigns for corporate and executive channels.
• Draft client advice notes, briefing notes, Q&A documents, communications plans, strategies, key messages, and media summaries.
• Analyse major energy and sustainability sector developments and advise on their business implications.
• Identify new business opportunities, contribute to proposals and pitches, and use AI to improve client insight, visual content, and account efficiency.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience at a strategic communications agency, preferably working with energy or climate-sector clients.
• Strong relationships across trade, national, international, podcast, and Substack media.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality client materials.
• Ability to turn technical detail into accessible and compelling messages.
• Strong project and account management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, digital tools, and relevant AI platforms.
