Policy Enforcement Specialist, Trust and Safety - USDS

Location: Scottsdale, United States; fully in-person up to 5 days per week

What you will do

• Review, investigate, and resolve USDS community guideline escalations across multiple channels.
• Interpret and enforce TikTok Community Guidelines while staying current on workflow and policy updates.
• Provide accurate, timely summaries for cross-functional partners during emergency escalations.
• Respond to escalated user issues, business and partner inquiries, and regulatory requests.
• Collaborate with Legal, PR, Communications, Policy, Moderation, Trust & Safety, and subject matter experts.
• Identify systemic weaknesses and help improve policies and processes before issues reach escalation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or at least 1 year of experience in Trust & Safety, Operations, Content Moderation, Incident Management, or a related field.
• Ability to enforce Community Guidelines with confidence, accuracy, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Availability for flexible shifts and schedules, including possible on-call and holiday support.
• Strong critical thinking, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments.
• Technical aptitude for learning complex tools and systems used in daily operations.
• Ability to work with potentially disturbing content involving child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury, and suicide.

Nice to have

• Experience in online investigations, escalations, operations, content policy, project management, or related work.
• Knowledge of current events and interest in staying informed.
• Experience handling complex problems with no single correct answer and an interest in ethics or policy.
