What you will do
- Lead firmware design activities and break down work packages for the wider firmware team.
- Develop, validate, maintain, and certify industrial-grade embedded software and firmware.
- Perform cross-platform C/C++ development while applying coding best practices and automated quality checks.
- Evaluate system-level requirements with product specialists, product managers, and engineering peers.
- Support sustaining activities across a broad industrial sensing product portfolio.
- Coach engineers and collaborate with electronics, manufacturing, services, customers, and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- 5+ years of experience developing embedded C/C++ applications for embedded operating systems such as Linux, QNX Neutrino, or Micrium μC/OS on ARM targets.
- Hands-on experience with Git or SVN and software/hardware debugging techniques.
- Practical experience designing industrial products and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work across functions in a team environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time signal processing algorithms and 5+ years of STM32 development.
- Experience with CubeMX, Yocto, Linux workflows, or IAR Embedded Workbench.
- Knowledge of RS232, RS485, Modbus, I2C, SPI, TCP/IP, sockets, and Ethernet stacks.
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting chips and drivers with external vendors.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and board-level debugging tools.
