TL;DR
Planning Manager (Manufacturing): Overseeing site-wide supply planning, capacity management, production scheduling, inventory control, procurement, and customer service coordination with an accent on balancing supply and demand across a 0–24-month planning horizon. Focus on leading S&OP, optimizing inventory and replenishment strategies, managing D365 planning parameters, and improving supplier and interplant performance.

Location: Onsite in Burlington, Washington, USA. Qualified candidates must be U.S. Persons and meet applicable U.S. citizenship, nationality, residency, refugee, or asylum-status requirements.

Salary: $102,500–$153,700 annual salary.

What you will do

  • Lead planning, scheduling, and purchasing activities, including supervision of five expeditors and development of detailed production schedules.
  • Facilitate the plant-level S&OP process and balance supply and demand across short- and long-range planning horizons of 0–24 months.
  • Manage inventory optimization, aged inventory reviews, cycle counting, replenishment strategies, and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage D365 planning parameters and master plans for delivery, inventory, lead times, batch control, and demand fluctuations.
  • Develop supply strategies with Regional Purchasing and key suppliers to ensure reliable material replenishment and performance against KPIs.
  • Coordinate Customer Service, Production Planning, Distribution, and intercompany stakeholders while maintaining transportation, regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • At least four years of combined experience in planning, scheduling, or supply chain, plus supervisory or management experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; a four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP, MRP, or MES systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, leadership, business judgment, autonomy, and ability to manage competing priorities in a matrix organization.
  • Must be a U.S. Person and satisfy applicable U.S. work-authorization requirements.

Nice to have

  • CPIM or CSCP APICS certification and Lean Six Sigma training or experience.
  • Experience with D365, Apriso, advanced Excel macros and tables, and SQL.
  • Experience leading improvement programs in a manufacturing environment.
