Data and Analytics Specialist (AI)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week

Salary: EUR 2,400–4,100 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Translate business needs into well-defined analytical problem statements and data-driven solutions.
• Apply statistical, algorithmic, data-mining, and visualization techniques to generate business insights.
• Deliver data science initiatives end to end, from exploratory proof of concept to production deployment.
• Develop and maintain analytics, automation, and AI-driven capabilities for insurance and reinsurance operations.
• Identify data gaps and propose improvements to data collection processes.
• Own complex projects, manage stakeholders, and collaborate with business, IT, and data teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as STEM, economics, statistics, or engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience building data science solutions.
• Strong foundation in statistics and probability, with practical experience in classical machine learning, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with NLP and applied Generative AI use cases, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Proficiency in Python and Spark/PySpark, with experience using common ML and AI libraries.
• Ability to work from the Bratislava office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• SQL, Python, and Power BI experience.
• Insurance or reinsurance domain exposure.
