Manager - Client Services (Asset Management)

What you will do

• Support institutional investors, pension funds, distributors, and domestic asset management companies with client and mandate-related inquiries.
• Build long-term client relationships and coordinate with sales, investment, product, operations, and overseas teams.
• Lead timely responses to client needs and deliver a consistent service experience.
• Identify investment and cross-selling opportunities that support business growth in Japan.
• Contribute to investment product launches, modifications, redemptions, or business process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably with an asset manager, securities firm, or bank.
• At least 3 years of sales experience, including client service, within the financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of investment strategies and financial markets, particularly global equities, global fixed income, and foreign exchange.
• Knowledge of asset management regulations, business practices, investment vehicles, fund structures, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• English proficiency sufficient for drafting emails and participating effectively in conference calls and online meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with investment product launch, modification, or redemption projects.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot.
• CFA, CMA, or CAIA qualification.
