CNC Operator II (Manufacturing)

Location: Gainesville, Georgia, United States; onsite in the Machine Shop. 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Operate CNC lathes and mills with routine supervision, including at least two bar-feed lathes simultaneously.
• Load, unload, inspect, deburr, polish, and clean machined parts.
• Maintain dimensional tolerances, production standards, accurate part counts, and a scrap rate below 2%.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and other precision measuring instruments to validate parts.
• Execute machine offsets and insert changes with direction from a supervisor or lead person.
• Complete inspection check sheets, box tags, quantity trackers, and other operator documentation while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience working with controls and instrumentation and maintaining equipment.
• Working knowledge of CNC functions, technical skills, controls, and instrumentation.
• Ability to perform basic decimal calculations and interpret basic dimensions on technical prints.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Detail orientation, multitasking, time management, communication, judgment, and a strong focus on quality.
