Senior Application Manager (m/f/d) – Automotive Battery Management Systems

Location: Germering, Germany; remote work is not available. The role has a global scope and is preferably based in Greater Munich or Düsseldorf, Germany, or Graz, Austria.

What you will do

• Lead and scale global application engineering teams across firmware, embedded software, and hardware.
• Define and execute the Automotive BMS application engineering strategy in line with product roadmaps and business objectives.
• Drive system validation, including functional, ESD, and EMC testing, as well as firmware and software enablement.
• Lead AUTOSAR enablement, including OS, MCAL, CDD, and configuration tools such as DaVinci.
• Deliver hardware enablement through reference designs, evaluation boards, application notes, development tools, and virtual prototyping platforms.
• Act as the executive technical interface for automotive OEMs, Tier 1 customers, R&D, Product Marketing, Sales, and ecosystem partners.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Applications, Systems, or R&D within the automotive semiconductor industry.
• Proven automotive Battery Management Systems experience, preferably with a Tier 1 or OEM background.
• Experience leading global technical teams supporting customers and partners.
• Knowledge of automotive standards and processes, including ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and ASPICE.
• Fluent German and English required; willingness to travel internationally.
