Machine Learning Engineer Intern (AML) (Machine Learning Infrastructure)

Location: Seattle, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

What you will do

• Improve workflows for model training and serving in multi-tenant machine learning systems.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, storage systems, and resource management.
• Design and develop key components of machine learning infrastructure.
• Support AI infrastructure and recommendation platforms for ads, search, live, and e-commerce ranking.
• Apply machine learning engineering knowledge to real-world projects during a 12-week internship.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Available for a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
• Proficient coding skills and a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Experience using or designing open-source machine learning lifecycle management systems such as TFX.
• Critical, rational, data-driven, and results-oriented thinking.
