TL;DR
IT Project Manager II (Duck Creek): Leading complex modernization initiatives for core insurance systems and digital platforms with an accent on Duck Creek upgrades, Agile delivery, governance, and organizational change management. Focus on coordinating monthly platform releases, managing UAT and production cutovers, governing customizations and dependencies, and aligning business, IT, and vendor stakeholders.
Location: Boston, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization throughout employment. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship, including visa transfers.
Base salary: $107,500–$144,700 per year.

What you will do
- Lead the strategic Duck Creek upgrade through planning, execution, release readiness, production cutover, and post-release support.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, RAID logs, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Coordinate monthly Duck Creek OnDemand releases with Duck Creek Technologies, development, QA, and business teams.
- Assess release notes and govern changes across Policy, Billing, Claims, and Rating modules.
- Coordinate UAT, stakeholder sign-off, operational readiness, communications, contingency planning, and validation.
- Drive change management, Agile delivery practices, governance, continuous improvement, and vendor performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 4 years delivering projects using Duck Creek technologies.
- Experience leading Duck Creek upgrades and related initiatives in partnership with Duck Creek.
- Experience delivering Agile or hybrid projects across multiple teams and vendors.
- Experience with organizational change management or business transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of insurance processes, including Policy, Billing, Claims, Underwriting, or Risk, plus strong project and Agile management skills.
Nice to have
- PMP or PMI-ACP certification.
- Experience with Guidewire, Workday, Salesforce, or data warehouse programs.
- Familiarity with cloud transformation, data governance, and compliance.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and leadership presence.
