Manager, Accounting (Automotive)

Location: Trussville, Alabama, United States; onsite office environment

What you will do

• Oversee daily accounting transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and cost management.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and monitor general ledger accounts.
• Prepare internal financial reports, budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and special financial reports.
• Establish, monitor, and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting processes.
• Manage, coach, recruit, and develop accounting and finance team employees.
• Coordinate financial data consolidation, external financial statement preparation, inventory support, and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of finance or accounting experience.
• Understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other financial legal requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to coach and lead teams.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Oracle R12 experience.
• Hyperion Financial Management experience.
