Software Engineer, Tech & Product (Backend)

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days per week

Salary: $136,800–$259,200 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade, highly concurrent backend services for collaborative tools and platform ecosystems.
• Improve system scalability, reliability, performance, and application efficiency for large-scale enterprise traffic.
• Participate in technical design reviews, address technical debt, and define future backend architecture.
• Collaborate with SRE and Infrastructure teams on CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging integrations.
• Contribute to code reviews and operational practices that maintain high service availability and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in team-based projects.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Go, or Python, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Solid understanding of backend development and production-grade service lifecycles.
• Ability to work in San Jose on a fully in-person schedule of up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrent programming, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
• Experience with performance tuning and identifying bottlenecks in large-scale distributed environments.
• Strong communication skills and interest in building secure enterprise tools.
